Smtp Proxy

I am having SMTP Server in my internal network and ASTARO-220(V-7.005) configured with S-NAT on 25 to my mail server. My smtp traffic is going through astaro but astaro is not blocking any spam / virus emails. Therefore we are receiving so many spam.I can see in quarantine manager that "X" Email proceed.

Please help me.

  • If you properly configure the SMTP Proxy, yes.  The SNAT rule you have in place will bypass the SMTP Proxy, even if you have configured it right.

  • Hello
I have the same problem.No incoming oder outgoing scan.
I use packetfilter any to email server (email Messaging)
and a Nat dnat any-smtp-Internt (address), destiantion email server-smtp.
If I disable this, I dont get any emails. I have configure the smtp,pop3 Proxy corectly. watched the astaro video..
Do I neet any roules in the network security?
    Thanks for ure support. Yves
  • I dont know why it is not working. It must working without D-NAT rule and with SMTP Proxy configuration. Even SMTP Configuration is perfect it is not working.

Can any one inform about how to create custom blacklist for subjects / email id / domain ??
  • Nikhil,

Download the manual how to use/install Astro.
Look up SMTP Proxy and follow the guiding, after that come with questions.
Don't create Exotic rules(blacklists etc.) before it will proper function the way it should be!

    Let us know.
