550 Error: Unknown user

We recently got our first Astaro firewall and I have been slowly setting it up in our test environment.  I have enabled the SMTP proxy and set it to transparent mode.  It is set to forward to our internal Exchange server.  Whenever I send a test E-mail to our test domain, I immediately receive the following error back

***.xx.***.xx does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 550 Address unknown
Giving up on ***.xx.***.xx.

I see nothing in the live log.  If I disable the SMTP proxy I get no response back, so I'm assuming it is at least making it to the proxy.  The E-mail address is in our test domain but is valid.  Any ideas?  Thanks!

    I think I figured it out.  The SMTP proxy is immediatly validating the address against our Exchange server and rejecting it if it does not exist.  The address is defined on the Exchange server, but it's an Exchange problem, not an Astaro problem.
