New ASG Software User - email setup question.

I don't have an internal email server.  I just want to send and receive email using the ISP's smtp/pop3 service.  I'm interested in the prefetch function too, even though there have been reported problems.

I don't understand how to set this up. How would ASG know where to prefetch email.  I don't see anything in the ASG email setup that asks for the ISPs email servers.

Obviously, I don't understand how this really works... or what its supposed to do.

    I've started both proxies using the information you gave to me.  They both seem to work for me, although, the pop3 prefetch thing is still unclear technically.  I configured Outlook Express to use the proxies successfully with my one of my ISP email accounts.  I got my mail and the reports reflected the activity.

    I think I will set up a test gmail account to check out the ASG prefetchness.

    I think I really just wanted to get the email notification thing happenning which wasn't before but now is[:D] 

    Speaking strickly as a home hobbyist (and relatively new to this product) I am rather happy with this product.  It is way better than my recent waste of money on a hardware product that begins with a "Z"[:$]
