"500 Firewall Error"

Hi People,

Im using ASL 6.304 on a 320 appliance. The problem I have is I'm not being able to deliver mails. This is happening randomly and the errors I get are:

2007:03:13-17:40:55 (none) exim[28095]: 2007-03-13 17:40:55 1HR8nh-00071u-I8 ** hiddenuser@yahoo.com.br R=dnslookup T=remote_smtp: SMTP error from remote mailer after MAIL FROM: SIZE=318777: host a.mx.mail.yahoo.com [209.191.118.103]: 500 Firewall Error

Can anyone help ???

    Well... it may have nothing to do with your firewall. I work on many different email systems, and if you're having problems delivering to someone like yahoo - it may be because they've implemented greylisting. 

    Do you have reverse DNS set on your internet line for mail lookups? Many of the major services are requiring this now and if you don't have it, you need to get it set.

    Hi Jon,

    Thanks for the effort in replying to my post.
    You have a point, but that is not my case.
    I have double checke my DNS settings and even HELO lookup setting and all is fine.
    To confirm this, is that at the moment I have delivered 438 messages to yahoo.com and I have 1 (one) error message type "500 Firewall Error".

    I have made no changes to my configuration and the problem is becoming less serious. But I still want to sort it out. Any other ideas ? I'm blind at the moment.
