Hi - my Exchange 2003 sends most mail via mail.authsmtp.com (a smart relay service) and some via regular DNS routing. I've noticed that when I enable the Astaro SMTP proxy (just downloaded and playing with v7.0) that outgoing emails destined for the smart relay are not delivered through the proxy (according to the live log, they aren't even seen by the proxy at all, and the queue in Exchange says "unroutable address") whereas emails destined for dns routing pass through fine as expected.
Any explanations for this? The Astaro SMTP proxy advanced setting to enable and configure a smart relay does not seem to be the answer to my problem as the emails I route via DNS need to go that way as they are forwarded copies of all incoming emails that are going to Blackberry's etc (and these copies from a lot of 'foreign' senders naturally get rejected by a smart relay service).
Any ideas anyone? Is multiple outbound connector routing at the Exchange level not possible through the SMTP proxy or am I missing something!!!!
