SMTP Proxy Outgoing Email Problem

Hi everyone. Just started with Astaro, using 6.303 with Exchange 2003. Have enabled SMTP Proxy.
The proxy routes incoming email with no problem to Exchange. 
I have two types of outgoing email from Exchange. The bulk goes via the default SMTP connector to a smart relay (www.authsmtp.com) as otherwise I get a lot of rejections from other mail servers. The rest (mail destined for Yahoo and Blackberry) goes via DNS (and not via the smart relay) as the bulk of mail to these two domains is forwarded by Exchange to our pda's and the smart relay cannot cope with 'unknown' senders (hence the need to send it via DNS). This setup works well for us.
But when enabling SMTP proxy on Astaro I notice that mail leaving Exchange via the DNS connector is working fine, but mail leaving via the www.authsmtp.com connector does not leave, UNTIL I disenable the SMTP proxy on Astaro, when the emails then get delivered fine to the smart relay!
Any advice gratefully appreciated!

    Installing the RIM Enterprise Connector for Microsoft Exchange will take care of the Blackberry mail problem. You should be able to get a copy of the Blackberry connectivity software (the 1 to 15 user version) from your mobile provider.

    Hi, thanks for that suggestion which I'll take a look at.

    But in general, is my differential routing (some via authsmtp.com relay, and some via dns to Yahoo, Blackberry etc.) possible via the Astaro SMTP proxy?
    As I say, I did some more testing and Proxy enabled it does not like to onward send the emails bound for mail.authsmtp.com, whereas it's quite happy to send the email bound direct for their destinations like yahoo and t-mobile (blackberry) etc.??
    I guess I need to know if Astaro will permit this onward relaying, else I will have to abort my usage and go back to my old SonicWall - would be a shame, as Astaro seems fab otherwise!

    Hi again ..

    Just did some more testing, in the Profiles and domain group assignment section of the SMTP proxy I had my route target as my Exchange server (SBS2003) which I have already defined. I assumed it 'ought' to be this. Just thought I would change the route target to MX Records to see what would happen, and now mail flows outwards as it should.
    So seems to work now. I'll do some more work and further testing on AV and spam filtering, and if this problem recurs will post again.
