Verify Sender problem

One of our vendors just contacted me that they couldn't send us emails. I quick search through the SMTP Proxy log on Astaro, showed me this:
 
2007:01:09-12:52:01 (none) exim[4806]: 2007-01-09 12:52:01 H=mail02.vendor.com [vendor ip] sender verify fail for : response to "RCPT TO:" from mail.integraonline.com [204.130.255.5] was: 553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)
2007:01:09-12:52:01 (none) exim[4806]: 2007-01-09 12:52:01 H=mail02.vendor.com [vendor ip] F= rejected RCPT : Sender verify failed
 
Now I've had verify sender on for several months. It kind of looks like to me that they've begun using a 3rd party hosted gateway that can't talk to their mail server. Does this sound right?
 
Tried adding *@vendor.com to senders under global whitelist, but messages are still blocked.  Any advise on how to get this vendors emails through without habing to turn off verify sender?
