I don't know if the version number of ASG does matter here, but I think it shouldn't.
My scenario: ASG1 (gatekeeper1) smtp proxy -> some servers like the mailserver in my DMZ -> ASG2 (gatekeeper2).
I created a new domain in the smtp proxy module.
I put this domain in the STD-Domain-Group, with all the options belonging to the Standard-Domain-Group.
All other (OLD) domains are working great, but ASG does not accept mails written to the address webmaster@newdomain.de.
In addition to that ::: All other mail accounts of the newly created domain are working great! The mailserver behind the ASG is set up well, and the webmaster address is definitely reachable (tested) like all the other user-accounts of that new domain.
Options I activated/deactivated for ALL domains (all domains exactly equal configured):
Domain Groups:
GROUP ::: Domain ::: subdomain inclusion
STD-DOM-GRP ::: domains.de ::: subdomains NOT incl.
Profiles and domain group assignment:
# ::: DomGrps ::: Route target ::: Sender blklst ::: OPTIONS:
1 ::: STD-DOM-GRP ::: SRVDMZMAIL ::: 0 entries ::: USE RBLs ::: DENY RCPT Hacks ::: NO SPF fail check ::: USE BATV ::: DO NOT USE Greylisting ::: Verify recipient ::: Verify sender
So I restarted the ASG, hoping this would help - but however it did not. :-(
The funny thing I noticed is: When a mail is received by the ASG, it normally should check the recipient on the dmz-mailserver, which it does for all other mail addresses, but NOT for the new failing address webmaster @ newdomain.de .
ALSO: I tried to disable sender/receiver checking: Then it works for the address webmaster @ newdomain.de.
But: I don't want to disable that feature for more then testing purposes...
So I'm stuck right here - what can I do to help the ASG ???
Please help, I need the webmaster address working shortly...
Michael
[EDIT]
The response I am getting when trying to send an email to webmaster @ newdomain.de is as follows:
This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification
Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:
webmaster@newdomain.de
Technical details of permanent failure:
PERM_FAILURE: SMTP Error (state 9): 550 No such user.
