Transparent SMTP Proxy with SMTP Auth Question

Hi All,
It has been about a year since I have used Astaro. I have not used the transparent proxy feature of ASG yet and have a couple questions.

1. If a client is sending mail through mail.hisISP.com, the ASG will transparently pick that up and proxy it. Correct?

2. Will this work with AD authentication?

3. Will this work if the remote SMTP server (mail.hisISP.com) requires authentication along with the ASG requiring AD authentication before being transferred?
