reverse dns

i have problems with sending emails to aol.com accounts. aol servers are asking for reverse dns lookup. how can i make this possible. im using asl as smtp proxy. do i have to enter something in dns proxy?

    hi karabela,
    this is a new "feature" from AOL.

    Whenever you send an email to AOL the are doing a reverse lookup to check the PTR-record of the origin domain.
    If the lookup fits the IP of the sending system, they will accept the mail.
    This is one of their steps to prevent SPAM.

    If you have a company network with a registered domain it should be no problem to request a PTR record in your ISPs DNS-Server.

    If you are a homeuser, you should use DynDNS. I think "Dynamic DNS" would not be enough, you'll need something like "Static DNS" or so. But to clarify please check their hompage, have no time at the moment to check it right now  [;)]
