I have enabled greylisting. My understanding is that three items of an incoming message are recorded; (1) sender address, (2) host IP, and (3) recipient address. The first time these three items [together] are encountered the message is temorarily rejected [default Astaro wait time 5 minutes] until the sending server re-sends. After the re-send/5 minutes the "triplet" is recorded in to the SMTP proxy database and further e-mails are allowed through.
In watching my log it appears as if my SMTP proxy db is not recording the triplets. I sent a message to myself (2-23-05 late afternoon) and watched the reject. The re-send came through fine. All messages today, from the same account to the same account, are also being rejected. I am seeing this from other messages as well.
Am I missing something in my configuration? Anyone else having this issue? Is there a "purge" threshold for the database where it begins again?
Thanks,
Big
