SPAM Protection: "Blackhole" doesn't work...

Hello,

we're using Astaro 5.100. I've configured the SMTP-Proxy to use SPAM Protection. The settings are as follows:
   Threshold one: 11 -> Blackhole
   Threshold two: 5 -> Quarantine

But ASL is still putting SPAM-Mails with a SPAM-Score above 11 into quarantine. Today I even saw several SPAM-mails with SPAM-score above 20 in "Proxy Content Manager"

IIRC, it used to work in older versions of ASL (v5.0xx). I can't remember which was the last version, in which "Blackhole" worked. I think, since the "Automatic Cleanup function" was introduced, "Blackhole" stopped working.

Can somebody give me a hint?

    Toto, whilst it's good to encourage people to use the search function please try and be a bit more civil about it.  Usually I'll search for the solution, then post that with a prompt to use the search function next time.

    yes you are right... but it sucks that in the last time more and more people  ask a question , that have already answerd, or can be found in the BB or manual...
    hey iam really not perfect...but first i try to figure it out for myself and yes i also ask stupid questions... 

    but...  hey folks, xyz does not work, why .. sucks !

    that has nothing to do with this poster here... its a generic problem...

    Well, I did use the search function, but I misunderstood the thread I found. Mainly because of this paragraph in ASL's online help: 

    Also note that "Threshold One" has precedence over "Threshold Two". If you reject or blackhole a message in the first threshold, it will not reach the second one, however this is possible with "quarantine" or "warn". 


    The way I interpreted this was: If the action at threshold one blackholes a mail, it won't appear in the Proxy Content Manager. And IIRC, it used to work exactly that way until now (or until one of the recent Up2Dates?)

    That's why I didn't pay too much attention, when people in the other thread started by GGriese talked about trying exactly the opposite [:$]

    I also didn't consider using Up2Date v5.101 because you need v5.102 right away to fix the bug in 5.101 and v5.102 is too new to try it. (I have to be careful...) And I wasn't aware that v5.101 fixes/updates anything but the http-Proxy.

    O.k. I swapped the two Spam Protection thresholds: 
        
    • Threshold1: 5 -> quarantine 
       
    • Threshold2: 11 -> blackhole

    The smtp-proxy-log shows:
     Code:
    Warning: spam_score:17.4
    Warning: spam_threshold1 triggered
    Warning: spam_threshold2 triggered
    => blackhole OK
     
    With this setting, the blackhole-feature works. So anybody else having this problem should be aware that Threshold2 overrides the action triggered by Threshold1 and that the corresponding paragraph in the online help is mistakable.
