Why is port 25 open to red interface

Hi all, can somebody tell me why port 25 is open on the red interface when I enable the SMTP Proxy.
Allow relay is enabled on the DMZ and Internal interfaces.
Going to www.abuse.net tells me that you can't rely though the red interface. So the question is why is port 25 open on the red interface?
Any thoughts?

Relaying means: Sending emails by using your box.
To receive emails you need to be able to send packets to port 25. This is the reason why port 25 is open. It is not possible to make port 25 listen on only some special interfaces. It always listens on every interface.

There is a trick. You will find it in this thread.
