Im running 5.026 and recently i'm having problems.
My echange 2k cant send anymore mails to the fw that acts as a smarthost. Cause the fw is refusing connetions.
When i look in the smtp log i get this:
2005:01:25-08:52:07 (none) exim[27276]: 2005-01-25 08:52:07 Connection from 195.238.3.180 refused: too many connections
2005:01:25-08:52:21 (none) exim[27276]: 2005-01-25 08:52:21 Connection from 195.238.2.136 refused: too many connections
2005:01:25-08:52:47 (none) exim[27276]: 2005-01-25 08:52:47 Connection from 195.238.2.134 refused: too many connections
And lots of them
They are the ip adresses of my isp.
So it is normal that they are connecting to me.
After i stop the smtp i get this:
2005:01:25-08:56:05 (none) exim[182]: 2005-01-25 08:56:05 1CtC1T-00002w-4Z SMTP connection from (infbas006.isp.belgacom.be) [195.238.2.136] closed after SIGTERM

2005:01:25-08:56:05 (none) exim[268]: 2005-01-25 08:56:05 1CtC76-00004K-0P SMTP connection from (infbmx002.isp.belgacom.be) [195.238.3.58] closed after SIGTERM
And then everything works again, but after several hours it starts again.
I cant for several reasons swith to the new 5.1 yet. So please dont say i need to upgrade.
This configuration has worked for several years and nothing has changed.
I would appreciate the help.
