smtp proxy timeout

messages refuse to leave my astaro The log say this:
SMTP timeout while connected to mail.barak.net.il [212.150.49.3] after sending data block (8189 bytes written)

    Just that address, or all of them like that?
    A particular message, or all messages?

    Tried sending a simple SMTP message using telnet from the inside? (Search to see how to do this)

    All messages are whith some kind off time out!!
    That line frome the smtp proxy log came from the built in backup feature of the astaro trying to send the backup file!

    Start with an outbound telnet test on port 25 from your Internal LAN (we want to know that network connectivity is good); do a Search here or elsewhere on how to do this...

    Right now it is impossible to run checks from the local lan . I am off site!

    I think it is related to some hardware problem ? Probably the nic is making problems?

    The NIC; a bad cable...

    I don't know if Astaro 5 has telnet (I load it on mine...); but if it did you could test after you putty over to the console.

    But then, if it is your network layer, your tty session will probably go kaput at some point...

    Believe it or not !!!!
    I went to the site and first thing I restarted the routed...
       All problems gone and it works OK
