help me to install ASL 5 for SMTP

hello everybody 
i have SMTP server outside my network 
mail.xxxxxx.xxx 
and i have set the rule for the server 
internal_network -> any -> SMTP -> ALLOW 
and the SMTP proxy is disabled 
i have masq
Internal (Address) -> All / All   MASQ__External 
and at the client side 
i have set the getway to ASL (5) 
and dns to my internal DNS server and i'm getting the DNS address perfect and even pop3 is working fine 
but i can't able to send mail 
what i have to do to make it work 
i'm using outlook 2003

    as you said i have seen the live log of the ASL
    the following line is in the allow mean with the green back ground
    10.10.1.201 1667 -> 205.243.144.81 25 TCP 48  127 DF WINDOW=16384 RES=0x00 SYN URGP=0
    and the following line is in the drop category
    10.10.1.201 137 -> 10.10.1.255 137 UDP 20 58 128 
    10.10.1.201 138 -> 10.10.1.255 138 UDP 20 249 128 
    but i still can't understand what actually problem is as log said that it is accepting the connection 

    the 10.10.1.* is my internal network.

    do a telnet  [ip your wish to connect] 25 or 110
    if this works, you got another problem .. if not, double check your packet filter
    rules and NAT rules
