Hello all,
Since upgrading from 5.027 to 5.100 the ASL has stopped using the smarthost as it were previously.
Let me explain,
We are using the following topology:
Outllok client --> Exchange 5.5 --> ASL --> Another Relay server --> ISP --> Final recipient mail servers
With Version 5.027 ASL has sent one copy of the message sent to multiple recipients to my final relay server, and that server in his turn sent one copy to the ISP, which distributed it for me to the world.
Now, after the upgrade the ASL is already multiplying the same message, and creating a copy for each recipient, which causes my outgoing email bandwidth to go up.
Is that a bug?
Should I do something to prevent it?
