Enormous hole of Firewall !!!!

Now !!! 
You are in the Internet and some of you use Firewall. 
What you know about Firewall? 
You think Firewall safe? no! no!

How it works?
it will close all danger ports and allow some ports to connect for example FTP (21), E-mail (23), HTTP (80) etc.
The weak point >>> if someone use anonymous software to connect with port 21, 23 or 80 What will happen?
some case anyone can connect to your PC if you not careful.
The way to know what the ports are Firewall open >>> sent ICMP or RAW of scan and find open port this case Firewall will not block!!! and Jackpot!!! then go through the Firewall.....
We can trust the FIREWALL???

    There are other measures you can take if you want to allow incoming service connections and not just let someone run willy-nilly on your LAN... IPS/IDS, proxy, VPN, Authentication, etc...

    Simon, this sounds like some sort of hook to sell a product to the uninformed.
    Living in Australia you may not have seen an STP commercial shown here in the states. They're convincing you to use their product by telling you about "silent knock". C'mon. Hey everyone! Be afraid of something you can't hear and can't prove you have!!!

    Heh, I always thought it would all go to hell there, you can't impose something on people who don't want it.  History has shown that over n over again.

    Sorry you resented it,  no offense intended.  My country is in the "Coallition of the willing" as well [:(]

    Yeah, Costa Rica was in the "Coalition" as well. How many times has the US gov't stuck their fingers into other nations business only to have it bite them in the a** several years later... Iran, Libya, Panama, now Iraq for the second time. Saddam was the US's buddy during the early 80's when Iran was the bad guy.
    Anyway... don't be sorry, It's a free world for those who choose it.
    Let's drop the political talk though. This isn't really the forum.
    I wouldn't mind talking over a pint though.

    We're opening an office in Denver so I may get over to have that pint.

    Bit scared of visiting the USA though as I was videotaped by US consular staff at a protest about the Iraq war (before the war started).  (They got a nice shot of me giving the cameraman the "bird").  Scared of going and then being turned away at the airport [:(]st".
    (Also sent numerous emails etc protesting).

    Anyway, as you say, this aint the place for discussions of this nature.  If you ever come downunder feel free to hit me up for a beer.

    Will do. Travel safely. Why would you worry about the bird? We love birds here. Have one as our national symbol.
