Experiences: Sender Address Verification

Hello!

I want to know YOUR experiences with the Sender Adress Verification (Proxies >> SMTP >> Spam Protection) and the related setting point Use callouts.

Activating the function Sender Adress Verification could help a little bit to minimize spam on a secure way.

But what´s with the function Use callouts? What are your experiences with that function? Do you note, that you did block important eMails, when you did activate it?

I´m interessted on your experiences.

    I think you can't enable it without looking daily what is rejected.
    We had 2 "newsletters" that we really needed and they were blocked.
    One because the sending-addressing was a non-existent "no-reply@" and
    the second because the sender denied NDRs (which caused them to be listed as
    rfc-ignorant, as I found out later).

    Thank you for your experience. Yes, this is a important fact, that many newsletters don´t have a real reply-adress.

    When looking after the sender address via RCPT command; are be expected with certain server hereby with difficulties?
