SMTP proxy blocked again after up2date

Hi.
Today I updated from 5.024 to 5.025 and then to 5.026.
As the previous post in https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/astaroorg/f/55/t/46141
the smtp proxy worked for a while, then was blocked and was rejecting mails with "Too many concurrent SMTP connections".
Looking into process list, I noticed that a lot of viruscan process
was spawned, along with a lot of exim processes.
As when I updated to 5.024, rebooting the firewall fixed
everything.
Disabling / enabling viruscan and/or smtp proxy and/or dos protection never fixed it. Only rebooting.

P.S. of course there wasn't any smtp connection at the moment of the error...

    We just recently updated to 5.26. We're seeing the same behavior. 
    I've not rebooted it yet. Stopping and restarting the smtp proxy service seems to have fixed the situation for the time being.

    today I received the answer from ASL support:

    "the problem is regarding to a missing timeout of ASL. If a SMTP server does not close a connection the connection may stay open forever. We will fix the problem in one of the next up2dates."

    I'm glad that I'm not the only one with this problem [:)]
