heise/security virus-dummies

i test the three email-dummies with virus from  heise.de/security , but one mail was not found on astaro (kaspersky).

Tests are:

* EICAR in ZIP-File - not found !!!
* EICAR in RAR-File - found
* EICAR in ZIP-File with password protection - found

someone the same result?

    I don't see where you posted that you have it set to update hourly. Sorry.

    So what you are saying is sometimes the hourly up2date is not working then, and you need to manually update it sometimes? Or that the udate does not work period sometimes, regardless of if it's automatically or manually done?
    Or is there a chance that when you ran the test the up2date had not updated  that particular virus signature yet?, but would have within the hour?
    I'm just trying to understand why the scanner caught the virus after you manually updated.

    a manual update say system is up2date. the virus pattern was from the same day in the morning. i have had no time to test the it on the same day again - next day it works [:)]
