I like the ability to check rbl's for smtp..any way to implement rbl checking in the spam section of the pop3  proxy?

    good idea, but first i think it should be possible to set the same entries in pop3-proxy as in the smtp-proxy...

    * file extension filter
    * expression filter
    * blacklists/whitelist
    * rbl`s

    so you do administrate one of both and can with a button set to the other.

    as a real world example my local copy of outlook which I have added a common blacklist to blocks as many, if not more, spam mails than Astaro's more intelegent spam filter.

    about the pop proxy:

    i think its more important, that users see the sender of the mail and that they have an option to manage the whitelist.

    definately. Newer version of outlook have the abilty to export all the domains etc of the senders that the user has marked as spam.

    Simply being able to import this would be a huge boost to spam filtering performance.

    Proper blacklist functionality is an absolute must. IN the big scale of things it is a trivial feature with huge performance gains.
