Delivery problems ...

Hello,

my customer is angry cause some mails to his customers show the mail attachement inside not as extra data. You know what I mean.
They use MS Outlook 2002. Before ASL there was a simple SENDMAIL and everything was running they say!
Now they say it´s the ASL which causes these problems.
Can this be the option MIME Error check set to "1" ????

This is getting serious !!! Please help me!

    You need to narrow this down a little. Is it all emails they send?? If not and only emails that are being forwarded, or sometimes replied to, there is a setting in Outlook to put in the previous mail's data as an attachment and not inline.

    As far as I know it happens at different email recipes.
    They make a new mail with attachement. I said them to try to send the mail not as HTML cause of better use of plain-text.
    They say nothing changes. I asked them to send me this mails as CC ... with Squirrelmail/Outlook 2002/ Thunderbird I can read all these mails correctly..?!

    More ideas?

    How do you have your email clients set to read attachments?? Even on the client side you can set to read attachment inline. If this is set then it looks like a normal email without an attachment.

    I guess my point is that for replying and forwarding emails, the sender has the option to send inline or as an attachment.

    Likewsie, on the receipient side, he has the option to view attachments inline.

    Am I making any sense here??

    I don´ know how his customers read emails. The only thing that I know is that one customer uses Outlook Express V5 and another customer uses Outlook express V6.... 

    My customer says that everything worked fine before installing the ASL [:)] 
    I don´t see there anything which is other than before.....
    It´s very very boring, cause my customer don´t want to pay if this doesn ´t work....

    Yeah ! I think i solved it.
    First of all... it was NOT the ASL, i never thought of that !

    Mistake was the a Virus Filter on the Qmail server behind the ASL.
    I asked my customer to use the ASL as mailrelay but he didn´t .

    I arranged his network here in a testlab and found the mistake...
    So, now i can go to the weekend...
