Mail hangs in queue .. slows down system !

Hi,

some curious thing: A mail sent from internal net hangs in mailqueue and slows down system. Surfing etc is very very slow!!!

I tried Proxy content manager to flush the mail but in smtp logfile this entry appears:
1BqXDp-0001Cg-UL Spool file is locked (another process is handling this message)

So i rebooted the ASL without success... What can I do? I don`t want to delete the message!!!

BTW mailsize is 2,7megs.

Any sugestions? Would be great to here something from the ASL guys.

Problem is gone ?!

Mail was in queue abou 9hours. Remote Mailserver wasn´t down? Tried other messages.. strange thing...

have the same problem again [:(]
Remote mailserver is available... but mail hangs. Mailsize is only 1,7mb. It´s another domain which should be reached. Cannot push the mail due to reason written above. That is not acceptable.

Any ideas.

Have you checked the other side!
It's possible that the other side have a mailsize limitation!
Check the SMTP Log!!!

Hi,

no mailsize or other limits ... That´s the fu*** T-Online Mailserver.
Today I changed it to use the smtp-auth server from schlund & Partner germany. Hope this one works better.
