is V5 now able to block content before the

smtp proxy come to work ? or is there a quick hack for both 4 and 5 to drop
some unwanted ips.. maybe a field for my own blacklist would be nice

(i ve asked that question for some time, but no answer here at all)

    thanks for the hint... maybe this things / those hints can be set in a FAQ  this cloud make it easier for alll here in the future.. 

    but that does not answer my question.. why is this not done by packet filter aka the web interface  ? 
    its desgined to do so(in my opinion) ... not that i have to go  and do that by hand on a shell.

    Maybe a bit late (was on holidays) but this is something that bothers me a lot also!
    If you receive unwanted SMTP-injection from a single IP or subnet, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO BLOCK THIS!

    Don't tell me that this is so unusual?

    So, indeed, blocking an IP BEFORE the proxy should be possible!
