pop3 email problem

i had a similar problem when my outlook settings told the server to leave a copy of each mail on the server. if you have your firewall between the client and the isp, it could be that the isps mailserver doesen´t know that you aleady got your message.

well, i just disablead leaving a copy of each mail on the server and everything works fine now. 
If you need to leave copys of your mails on the server, you should add a mailserver to your Networrk. We used to add one to our DMZ.

Not sure that is the answer.  I have multiple clients that leave mail on the server for 5 days before it is pulled off.  You state that you disabled spam protection.  Do you mean you turn off the proxy or just disable the spam protection?  I had to increase my timeout on the client side for a few computers.  When they had large attachments it hung briefly but increasing timeout on the client to 3 or 4 miutes solved that issue.  Installing a  mail server seems like an expensive proposition if all you are using the proxy for is spam.  Let me know what you find out..

i tried both. disable spam and disable pop3. the second i did when the clients didnt get any mail at all. while they where getting their mail i turn pop3 proxy with spam and it works for a week. then all [censored] happens again. dont know where to look. i also increased timeout on the client.

maybe htis latest update will hopefully fix the pop3 proxy.
