I have 4.021 in front with SMTP proxy turned on. I'm trying to enable my remote PDA users to send email through our mail server. I have enabled RADIUS authentication but the authentication fails. I know the authentication works because I'm using the same id/pass to authenticate with PPTP and that goes fine.
Is there a different RADIUS tag that's being used for SMTP than for PPTP? How can I find out what they are? Also, is this typically what the SMTP Proxy is used for -- allowing remote users to send on behalf of my protected email server? I read on the list that this could become an open relay but I require authentication first so I'm safe, no?
