Self-made SPAM filter-help with expression filter

Hi folks!
As we downgraded to v4.022 again, we do not have the SPAM filter anymore. Actually, some of our users are using a mail server that has a spamd running, adding a "X-Spam-Level: +" into the headers.
I was wondering now: can I use the expression filter built into the POP proxy in order to filter all emails with a SPAM-score of more than 6 for instance? I believe a search string like
 [ QUOTE ]
 X-Spam-Level: \+\+\+\+\+\+\+

[/ QUOTE ]
should do the trick. However, I doesn't work. But why? Is ASL not checking the headers? Did I misconfigure the expression filter string?

Any suggestions appreciated.

Oliver
