5.004 SMTP Proxy

hello board

has someone an idea what this could be?? found in SMTP log files:

2004:05:05-00:21:20 (none) exim[1650]: 2004-05-05 00:21:20 H=(www.astaro.de) [212.126.210.198] sender verify defer for : could not connect to www.astaro.de [212.126.210.204]: Connection timed out

and

2004:05:05-00:29:44 (none) exim[1700]: 2004-05-05 00:29:44 H=(europe-01.securepoint.de) [62.116.166.66] sender verify defer for : could not connect to europe-01.securepoint.de [62.116.166.66]: Connection refused

it fills my SMTP log files up to 8 MB with nearly only this messages

    Is your DNS Proxy enabled and is there a valid forwarder set? What are the settings for outgoing email -> allowed networks?

    DNS Proxy is enabled, DNS forwarders are O.K.
    Surfing and E-Mail incoming and outgoing is functioning good.

    I've no problems with emailing, I found only strange that this messages are in my SMTP log files. I haven't send any emails to astaro nor to europe-01.securepoint.de.

    Somebody tries to send you emails (maybe junk). Sender verification blocks that kind of emails. That's the reason for the entry in the log.
