After applying the 5.002 and 5.003 patches I got the following error:

I looked through this forum and saw similar issues so I applied the patch 5.004 and now get the following error:
2004:05:02-13:04:04 (none) exim[5375]: 2004-05-02 13:04:04 1BKKNo-0001Of-7x failed to open database lock file /spool/db/retry.lockfile: Permission denied (euid=666 egid=666)
I then tried turning off the AV and spam filters, rebooted, no change.
The "real" mail server can no longer send mail to the ASL box nor can users receive mail so I've had to turn off the proxy. Apart from rebuilding.. any suggestions?
