Sophos UTM with SPX issue with Mail attachments

We have recently implemented SPX on the UTM, running 9.505-4. The encryption is working fine on emails and sending and arriving OK, but if we add an attachment to the email then it is removed by the time it arrives with the recipient.

Hi Peter and welcome to the UTM Community!

Does Up2Dating to 9.506 obviate this issue for you? I don't think it will, but it's the first thing to try.

I am having the same problem and I have updated to 9.506-2.

The SPX protal and encryption works great, but the attachements don't make it to the recipient. I tried downloading the attachement and viewing the PDF in Adobe reader, but still no attachment just the winmail.dat that took me to the reply page at the SPX portal.

I have now resolved the issue, which was due to the recipient using a web based mail client and not having adobe reader as default. Once tested with Outlook and AR all worked OK.
