UTM Version 9.353-4 Released

I received email notifications about the 9.353-4 update this morning. It appeared on both of my UTMs this morning. One is supported hardware and the other is a virtual machine at home. I have not installed the update yet. I am waiting to see if others (who are braver than me) report any serious issues.

I have learned that Sophos UTM updates go out in phases. Your UTM may not have the update available yet. I have seen a gap of several weeks between when an update appears on my home UTM and when it appears on the hardware UTM.

Moderators: Feel free to edit the subject of this thread to add "Do not install!" if it seems appropriate. I won't complain. Hopefully this is a good, solid release.

Other forum members: Please comment here if you have installed the 9.353-4 update. Please share your experiences (good and bad) here. Thanks!

    I installed 9.353-4 on my home UTM. So far, there have been no issues or problems. I used "Update to latest version now" to update from 9.351-3 to 9.353-4.

    I have not yet updated the office UTM 120, which is still running version 9.317-5.

    I normally run the WebAdmin in a Google Chrome browser on my Macs. I had some issues with the default Safari browser, so I use Chrome. I tested the following browsers connecting to UTM 9.353-4 on my home UTM (virtual machine):
    * OS X 10.11.3 (El Capitan):
    - Safari
    - Google Chrome
    * Windows 7 Ultimate in VMware Fusion 8.1:
    - Internet Explorer 11

    Flow monitor works on all of them, including IE 11.

    update on homeuse (SG125w) and in our company (SG210 HA Cluster) done.

    No Problems with all functions.

    -->SMTP Daemon hang fixed

  • Upgraded to 9.353-4 on Friday night and have not had any noticeable issues as of Monday morning.

    What versions are people updating from? Are most of you updating from version 9.317-5? 9.351-3? ... or some other version?

    I updated from 9.351-3, which applied the problem update and the latest one sequentially. I managed to avoid the problem one by googling the update number, which I do for pretty much all updates for windows, etc.
  • Last night I had the courage to also update our production environment (keeping 1 HA-node reserved just in case....) and upgrade seems to have went well, no problems up to now. Flow monitor works and executive report has graphs.

    Updated from 9.351-3 to 9.353-4.

  • Anyone knows if this update will also be released for the 9.31x version?
    It's out now for some days and at the ftp there is nothing about a new 9.31x version.
  • I have 3 UTM, 1 UTM120 & 2 Proliant Microservers with the software version.

    All were at the same version previously (the buggy one) and all were updated at the same time...

    UTM120 updated with no issues, flow monitor works.
    HP#1 updated with no issues but the flow monitor still doesn't work.
    HP#2 updated but "failed", I rebooted it and it showed as the latest version and flow monitor now works..odd...

    So although HP#1 says it installed without issue, I'm still unable to view the FM without getting the backend connection error...
