'software appliance' not installable on SG105w for use with home user license

I am running Astaro since v5 with a home user license at home for quiet a few years.
My current setup is a  UTM120v5 with an AP50 access point via POE power supply.

Now I got my hands on a new SG105w which should replace the UTM120v5 and AP50.
So I downloaded a fresh image of the up to date UTM9 v9.351-3.1 and burned a DVD.

Now going through the installation process I got the following error message shown:

For those who like to suggest to just upload my home user license through the installed
SSI (hardware appliance) OS ... I tried that 1st. Home user license doesn't work here!

So what's the deal? Why is that error message coming up? I never got that one on ANY
Astaro ASG120v3, ASG120v4, ASG120v5 or my current Sophos UTM120v5 never ever!
Did they implement a hardware check in the newer Sophos UTM9 installation media???

Does anyone has any experience with which UTM9 I can install a "software appliance"
OS to use my home user license on a SG105w??? Or is there no way to install it anyway?

    Dirk, it's simple if you know the trick! [;)]

    1. Load the 105 from the Hardware ISO, not the Software. 
    2. This comes with a 30-day license, so run through the installation wizard and get it configured with loginuser and root passwords. 
    3. At the command line as root:

      /root #mv /etc/asg /etc/asg.bak

    Restore your configuration in WebAdmin and your license and such will work.

    Awesome. Never read of this one. Have to say that I solved it myself after remembering that you just have to wipe the hdd before installing the software appliance. Totally forgot that. Had to reinstall my utm120v5 a half decade ago. So didn't remember that step. But your solution sounds nice. No need to wipe the partition and additionally you can use the hardware appliance including the fancy icon logo in the webgui. ;-)

    Can you keep us updated on the wireless aspect of this? If/how well it works, ease of setup, etc. I'm considering doing this myself! Thanks so much!

    Sure. I wiped the SG105w using my hdd copy station (or use a a rescue media from Acronis Disc Director or any other freeware tool) and installed the "software appliance" w/o any issues. Will try the BAlfson's idea asap. Unfortunately I just moved in my new apartment and have other things to care about. So will do that these days. As of now my SG105w runs smoothly. Installed the SG105w by using a backup of my current state of my UTM120v5. Just had to delete all network interface setups bcos they weren't working properly for some reason. Maybe not taken over seamlessly using the backup. So I'd to setup the wifi (wlan0) from scretch. Works stable. There's only one BIG BUG with this. I am not able to hide my ssid on my wifi. If I do that I'm not able to (re)connect to my wifi after a while. Totally wierd. If I keep ssid visible wifi works flawless and reconnection (i.e. after returning home) has no problem. Guess this is just a software bug.
