[9.350-12] Exchange 2013 not receiving email since update

We upgraded the UTM to the current latest, everything was working before the update.

Now all the mail is getting queued up and is not passing it through to the exchange 2013 server.

This is what is in the logs of the UTM

2015:11:04-15:17:00 sophosutm01 exim-out[33110]: 2015-11-04 15:17:00 1ZtiTs-00094w-5Y Remote host 192.168.2.53 [192.168.2.53] closed connection in response to initial connection
2015:11:04-15:17:00 sophosutm01 exim-out[33109]: 2015-11-04 15:17:00 1ZtiTs-00094w-5Y == user@email.com R=static_route_hostlist T=static_smtp defer (-18): Remote host 192.168.2.53 [192.168.2.53] closed connection in response to initial connection

- I have recreated the exchange 2013 receive connectors, (including having it set to exchange secured)
- Rebooted both UTM and Exchange
- Recreated the SMTP settings in the UTM
- Disabled TLS

Nothing fixes this! It appears the exchange server doesn't like the headers that the UTM is sending it and forcefully closes the connection.

  • Weird, Matt.  Try restoring a recent backup from before the Up2Dates.  Any luck with that?  If not, get Support involved in hopes of not having to reload from ISO.

  • Do you have recipient verification enabled on the UTM (SMTP area)?  If so, turn it off, or try the AD option.
