HA Configuration riddle

I have had an UTM 425 for two years now and since the business became more critical I was able to buy a second one in order to create a HA configuration; so far so good but on the new arrival (the slave) after the initial setup (name, IP, password and license) I want to change the HA config mode from automatic to active/passive but, after I set it on "off" the configuration tab remains grey and I am not able to change any settings any more. Meanwhile a couple of times the factory reset tried without success...any idea?

    You should not do ANY configuration on the new slave.  Just hook up your cables and connect it with your old UTM.  All necessary information, including proper licensing will be copied over from the Master.  The page is saying there are licensing issues.  Show the complete contents of the page at Management > Licensing > Overview, except the License ID.

    I have tried that, the slave is trying the zero configuration and, 2 minutes later, it goes off....[:@]

    Factory reset the slave.

    Make sure that each port is on the same VLAN, LAN, WAN, etc. as the matching port on the master.  Make sure the master is set to use Automatic for the HA config.  Connect the master and slave together with a cable on eth3 (the default HA port--- if you've used it for something else, I recommend making it available).  Power on the slave, and it should automatically join the Master.  If it does not, start a support case with Sophos.

    VLAN, LAN & WAN are matching, master is set on Hot Standby since this is the config I want to implement...I might need to re-image the appliance

    ok, I have re-imaged the appliance, followed the initial setup, broke the wizard, the HA set on "active-passive" and, as the last step, upload the license file - it's syncing!!!!
