I've got a UTM SG310 firmware: 9.315-2.
Every once in awhile (no firm schedule seen yet), the UTM will "freeze up". Most of the time, even under fairly heavy load, top will show a real time load average of between 0.5 and 1.5. However, when the UTM freezes up, the load average will go up in the 20's or 30's, and has even been as high as 48! That screen shot I have shows httpproxy at 25%, confd.plx at 14%, and snort at 12% and 9%. Overall CPU shows 20% user, 4.6% system, 41.2% idle, and 29.9% waiting. That high CPU waiting is what seems to be the oddest part.
It does this several times a week, different times of the day. Lasts 5-10 minutes.
Something I've noticed the past few times is that under Logging and Report > Hardware > Partition, at the the same time that the UTM seems to freeze and then unfreeze (5-10 minutes of unhappy users later), the storage partition goes from about 20-21% down to about 15-16%.
Any thoughts on what's going on here, how to troubleshoot it a little better, or hopefully prevent it from happening at all?
