UTM and WS1000

Hi all.

I have a second hand WS1000 which, whilst it's been fun to break into, isn't going to get me anywhere without a licence.  I'm therefore looking at putting the free home version of UTM on it instead.  Are there any catches to this?  I notice that a post from Feb last year said the network card was not recognised - has this been resolved yet?

Thanks
Rob

  • OK I installed on this... all seems fine, except the additional network card used for the bridged interfaces is not recognised - the on-board network ports work fine.

I would like to get this working, though, since I'd prefer to drop this in the network in transparent mode and thus need the ports.  It's a Silicom Image PXG2BPI Dual Port Copper Gigabit Ethernet; the drivers seem to be a bit difficult to get hold of, and I don't know how to install them on UTM anyway!

    Any ideas anyone?
  • Hi, and welcome to the User BB!

There is no hope.  If you can't replace that card with one that's supported, you should just sell that for whatever you can get for it.

    Cheers - Bob
