Sophos UTM CPU usage at 99%

Hi all,
My UTM CPU usage is constantly at 99%. this looks to have happened after a recent firmware update. The UTM is currently running 9.314-13 

after doing some initial investigation I found that CTASD process was causing the CPU spike. I also get an alert from the UTM every 1 hour that  the SPAM filter not running - restarted 

So If i disable the SMTP proxy everything comes back to normal and the CPU is back to Idle.

I have already tried to rebuild the PostgreSQL SMTP SQL database but it has not made any impact.

any suggestions or help would be much appreciated
