Manual pattern installation

Hello Everybody,

I’ve a firewall without an internet connection. Is there a possibility to install the antivirus pattern manually like the firmware updates? I.e. download the pattern files from Sophos, copy the pattern in the UTM and install it?

    It's not done the same way, Ben.  You can set the pattern update to "Manual" in WebAdmin and then trigger the updates manually in WebAdmin or at the command line with 

    /sbin/audld.plx --nosys --trigger

    No, this is not possible.

    Hi Bob,

    When I execute audld.plx I need a internet connection. The UTM has no uplink to the internet and we want for internal http scanning actual pattern. From time to time the admin has a maintenance window for firmware Updates. In this window should the pattern updates applied to the UTM.

    As mentioned, it is not possible to do pattern updates offline.  Doing so would be unsupported and quite a PITA to do.  The UTM MUST have an internet connection for pattern updates.

    It appears to be possible:  Neither trivial (in GUI) nor impossible on a technical level.

    Tolerated, supported, condoned, convenient, etc. are separate questions.
