Home license on UTM ASG120

Hello, The sales rep said we could take one of our unused ASG 120s and install the free home license on it. However, when I tried to upload the license file I downloaded from the Sophos website, it said that it could not run on ASG1***.

Does anyone know how to get this to work?

Rename the etc/ASG file on the box or re-install from the software ISO.

You login via SSH as loginuser after setting up at Management > System Settings > Shell Access (many like Putty as the SSH client), su- to elevate permissions, then you can rename the file to whatever you like.

Hi, and welcome to the User BB!

To be precise about the home-use license, it's just that. It should not be used as a lab machine in your office or for business purposes in a home business, for example.

No, I am using for my home, but because I work from home sometimes, work said I could have the unused device. I just want to get it to work at home using the free license because I can't use one of the work licenses.
