Hello
Hardware Model: ASG120
We have recently upgraded from ADSL to Broadband (NBN) (100/40), the speed jump was not really all that great as tests indicated we are only getting roughly 20/12 from our new line on all our internal machines.
After some testing it appears the connection is working fine before our UTM but is slow after, I have tried two switches and replaced all cables with known good ones:
NBN -> FRITZ 7272 -> Laptop (192.168.1.*) = SPEED 96/30
NBN -> FRITZ 7272 -> UTM -> SWITCH (HP ProCurve 2512 10/100 or TPLINK TL-SG1024 100/1000) -> LAPTOP (10.0.0.*) = SPEED 20/12
Would anyone have an idea what is happening here? I cant see any errors in the UTM logs and the interfaces have not been modified since the wizard set them up during installation.
The following are shown in the Network Usage logs:
Maximum Minimum Average Last
Interface Usage Internal (eth0) (inbound) 12.24 Mbps 30.00 bps 181.53 kbps 73.61 kbps
Interface Usage Internal (eth0) (outbound) 19.05 Mbps 24.00 bps 257.46 kbps 115.18 kbps
Maximum Minimum Average Last
Interface Usage External (WAN) (eth1) (inbound) 14.99 Mbps 112.00 bps 229.07 kbps 110.95 kbps
Interface Usage External (WAN) (eth1) (outbound) 12.17 Mbps 161.00 bps 176.71 kbps 71.70 kbps
As its working its not really a major problem but I would like to get the full speed to the desktop / laptops in the office if possible.
Can this box support 100/40 speed or do we need to upgrade to a different model?
Thank you for your time
Pete
