Bridging limitation?

Hello....

I appear to be missing something....

Have two ports bridged (one serves the APs and the other the wired network)
and I am unable to print between them. (I could swear I have done this before and it worked) 

Move the APs to the same port and it all works.

Should a bridge be limiting traffic in any way?
What in particular does not travel between the two elements in a bridge?
