Migration question

Hi
We are going to replace our TMG With a SG230.
We got a SG230 for a month for testing.
I want to see if the SG230 going to work with our enviroment e.i publishing Ex2010, publishing  multipel websites and terminal servers etc . Can we add the sg230 to the current network and go ahead with our tests? Or we have to setup a lab? I dont like to setup separate lab because i have to install exchange and T.S Servers etc

Our current network

Datacenter switch---TMG----internal lan
TMG IP62.xx.xx.15
TMG IP 10.0.10.1
Internal lan 10.0.10.0

Can we put the SG230 in the same enviorment and test our rules

Put the SG230 connect the wan to other port on datacenter switch and connet lan port to the lan switch

SG230 IP 62.xx.xx.25
SG230 IP 10.0.10.254

We dont want test connection from lan to wan but from wan to lan
Is this goning to work or servers that we want to publish must have the 10.0.10.254 as thier gateway

    You could put it in parallel, as you suggest, but then the difficulty is changing things around so that traffic goes through it (change default gateway settings and public DNS.  You may want to consider setting it up in-line within your current infrastructure.  Also, since you are on a trial, discuss with your reseller about engaging Sophos pre-sales engineering.  They can help you will setup and any questions you may have.

    Hi Scott,

    Thanks for your reply,
    sure I will ask the reseller as well, but in the meantime do you mean we should change the GW of the server that I want to publish? 
    The DNS shouldnt be a problem I can work with the host file. but the GW would be issue, because if for instance I change the GW of the exchange server to test the OWA and OA then the fllow of mail will stop and that is not a good thing.
