UTM for Home add the whole network as active IP Addresses

Hi

I have a physical Server with sophos 9.308-16 installed.

This Weekend i chage my Switch (Dell Powerconnect 6224) and now the sophos add the whole Subnet to the activ IP adresses. So the license usage exceeded.

This is only in the management Network that ist direct connectet with the UTM as a untagged Port. The Switch-IP is also in the same Network.

I've also a few Network with vlan-tag and in this i have no Problems.

Have you some ideas? [:S]

Hi and welcome to the UBB,
I would suspect that your switch has a keep alive setting that pings every address in the range or something similar.

Thank you for your answer.

Now i'm trying some settings on the Switch.

I disable "ICMP Redirects" and have to wait.. [:)]

actually anything you do not want to count as ip addresses do not let them use dhcp on the UTM AND leave their gateway addresses blank. Only do this if you do not want them to access the internet at all.
