Dual Intel PCI NIC's

I have a 2008 vintage Gigabyte Motherboard (Intel Chipset + Intel Core 2 Duo CPU + Realtek NIC).

I want to give Sophos UTM Home a try with this existing Gigabyte PC. I am considering purchasing/installing two Intel PCI NIC's and disabling the on-board Realtek NIC. I have read that Sophos UTM Home does not work with many PCI NIC's. Would these two Intel PCI NIC's be compatible with Sophos UTM Home?

This NIC or the PRO version of this NIC is what I want to purchase:

That should be fine.

How fast is your internet connection? At some point the CPU becomes the bottleneck for IPS and A/V scanning.
