Hi there,
I've recently looked into the Sophos UTM suite, and it looks like a real good product compared to some other solutions.
I have the Sophos UTM setup on a VM (VMWare Workstation) as a test before I build a box for it. I'm just having issues with connectivity to the External gateway. The Internal Network is 10.0.0.252/24 and the External Network is setup as an Ethernet 192.168.17.250/24. The External NIC is setup to NAT to the local machine for internet access/
From the Internal Network I am able to ping the UTM's Internal Interface and External Interface, I can't ping the External Interface gateway. I also can't ping the External Interface gateway from the UTM itself (from the console).
I ran through the initial setup and all the rules look okay. I setup an allow all from Internal Network > External Network, and checked the masquerading rule which is Internal > External. I was thinking that static routes may be needed for the default route like other firewalls which I had trouble trying to setup in the UTM GUI.
It's possible that there is a misconfiguration issue with the NAT? I have done this with other firewall distros and it's been working okay. The only different is that they have a default route compared to the Sophos UTM.
Would anyone be able to help? [:S][:S][:S]
