now GA released.

the SoftRelease of UTM 9.309 can be found on the FTP server...

Bugfixes:

    31646 Hotspot drops Radius authentication requests
    33320 Wireless Protection 'Password of the Day' feature is generating passwords that are offensive
    33803 Webadmin stopped working from time to time
    34258 (VxLAN) Wifi performance issue after update with separate zone cause a wrong MTU used

    Well, the WiFi fix I was hoping for is not in that list - it only fixes separate zone connection issues.  

    I don't know what it exactly was that was changed in the previous update that totally screwed up my AP, but that is something that needs to get changed back to what it was before.

    Well, the WiFi fix I was hoping for is not in that list - it only fixes separate zone connection issues.  


    What exactly is your WIFI issue ? For me 9.309 finally fixed the separate zone issue...it now runs fine even with a MTU of 1500.

    What hw are you using? I tested with UTM120 and SW, no luck other than the results above. What throughput do you get?

    Hi,

    I have the problem with not displaying log files in 9.211-3.

    Therefore I have two questions:

    - Is this issue fixed in 9.309sr?
    - Is there a description how to install such a soft-release on active/passive HA Nodes?


    edit: another question: when will it be released for Up2Date?

    Yes it's fixed [;)]

    Just upload the file manually via up2date in Webadmin, the HA system will update both nodes automatically.

    And yes it will be avail. when they release it for GA eventually...

    Yes, you've to install all of them, download them all and do the update to the last.

    I tested with SG115 and AP100 and AP30. I also played little around with 20 and 40MHz band (´HT20´ and ´HT40´). While HT40 in general works (n devices connects up to full 300MBit Link Speed, I don´t get really higher throughput using HT40, but more added latency due other WIFI´s around. So I went back to "normal" HT20.

    Throughput figures? In best case on good days (or more in the middle of a silent night/early morning) I sometimes can get up to 6-7 MByte/s, but normal average throughput over the day with all those other noisy WLAN´s around I get most of the time something between 2,x and maybe ~4 MByte/s.

    I also should mention, that this is my home UTM, and I broadcast 4 SSID´s on those AP´s (more SSID´s will lower throughput little), and I have usually  ~6-10 concurrent devices connected. Some of them also with older g instead n WIFI (also may lower throughput). I guess that´s the price for the use of a shared medium like the air...So I´m overall seen happy with the result.

    I am not in a separate zone configuration, mine is bridged with an AP30.  After a specific update, my Android and wireless devices just sit and connect, disconnect, connect, disconnect.  I've never had any issues like this until I updated, and now wireless is absolutely useless to me.

    Wifi was re-flashed, removed and re-added, changed, and it does the same thing over and over.

    Two things:

    1) Do you have Fast Transitioning enabled? (My Squeezebox players did the above, beacause of this)

    2) If not the above, try attach the AP directly to the UTM interface.
