eth3 twice a time since HW upgrade from UTM120 to SG230

Hi ALL,

i wants to move my configuration (V9.211) from a UTM120 to a new SG230 box. This worked correctly till to interface eth3. This is not working so building a cluster is not possible.

Eth3 is now 2 times in the system - one time with link to the physical NIC and one time with no link to any NIC (it is only named as "dummy object").

So i want deleting this dummy object! 
In WEB GUI is only an edit Button available (which is not working)!
I try "cc" but i do not get to delete this dummy interface.
In Linux shell eth3 does not exists

So i think this is a middleware (cc) problem  - and there is the key to delete this interface.

Can someone help me ?

    You cannot put two different devices into HA.  If the UTM120 is on 9.211, make sure the new SG230 is on 9.211 also.

    The first step is to start WebAdmin on the UTM120 and go to the 'Hardware' tab of 'Interfaces & Routing >> Interfaces'.  Here, for each interface, you want to change the 'Virtual MAC' to the 'MAC Address' for each NIC.  This avoids any need to force routers and switches to clear their ARP tables when changing devices.


    Next, load a configuration backup from the UTM120 into the root directory of a USB memory stick, Factory Reset the SG230, reboot it with the USB memory stick inserted, login to WebAdmin on the SG230 and apply the license for the SG230.  You are now ready to replace the UTM120.

    If you want to retain access to the existing logs and reports on the 120, just change the Internal interface definition to have it's old IP as the new default gateway and its new address a different IP.

    if found the way to delete this eth3 dummy interface:

    cc
    OBJS 
    itfhw
    ethernet

    delete REF_hskjhkjahdkjhakjdhaksdh (which is the dummy interface object)
    exit
