Hardware recommendation for 250mbps

Looking to build a Sophos UTM Home firewall for my house.  Currently running a SonicWALL TZ215 but it maxes out at about 65mbps.  I'd like to upgrade to a 150mbps connection, but also want some breathing room for when my ISP upgrades, therefore 250-300mbps is the target. 

Security is important as I have 2 sons who do crazy things and are always downloading mods for minecraft and doing things they shouldn't.  So full UTM with web security is desired.

Knowing that I'm attempting to attain 250mbps with full security enabled, I was thinking I would need something like an Intel Core i5-4690 Haswell Quad-Core 3.5GHz with 16GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD.  I would also pair it with Intel Gb NICs.

Will that do 250mbps?  Or am I overshooting or undershooting it?  I really have no idea how much power I need for this.  Thanks in advance for the assistance.

    Way too much hardware for a home UTM IMHO.  I would get a fast dual-core CPU, 8gb ram, and a reliable spinning disk (especially if you have one sitting around).  Just my two cents.

    That will do 250mbps with full UTM services?

    Hi, for only a few users, a fast Haswell/Broadwell i3 would be as fast as the i5.

    Should be able to get around 300mbps.

    Yes only for a few users.  I think I will go with an Intel Core i3-4370 Haswell Dual-Core 3.8GHz then with 8GB of RAM and a 64GB mSATA SSD. Thanks for the help guys!

    I was running 107d/5up on  Core2Duo quad core 2.4GHz cpu (Q6600), 4 gig ram and 250 gig HD.  I have the following turned on:

    a 64 gig ssd is not a good idea.  The amount of small writes will most likely end that ssd'd life prematurely or it will kill the controller.  Go with a regular hdd unless you are running something that even a 1.8 inch hdd won't fit in.  If you have to run an ssd no less than 256 gigs then you can count on the ssd being able to use any unused space for reserve(unless the controller dies of course).
