Astaro Software Upgrade 8.305 to 9.107 -33

Hello,

In my scenario, i have hardware appliance and as backup i have software installed on pc.

On hardware ASG320, firmware version is 9.107-33.
On Backup Software PC firmware version is 8.305.

I am unable to upload current update of hardware device on software.

Que 1. Is it possible to upload current backup on software device(PC 8.305).?

Que 2. I have to upgrade software PC firmware to same ?If so i have to install fresh 9.107 or it will update with internet.

I have to perform this activity asap.

Pls help.

No, you can't import a backup from a newer version into an older one.

You will have to reinstall as the software versions do not support in-place upgrades.

Depends on your requirements (users, internet speed, ...).

For 512 Kbps approx 140 user ,web filtering,firewall ,anti virus , anti spam what you would suggest ?

For that many users, 4-8GB RAM.

Any modern CPU should be OK if your line is only 512K.

If i install asg-9.111-7.1 on backup pc , then after may i able to import backup of current hardware with 9.107.33 ??

You can install config-backups from older versions onto newer versions (9.107 --> 9.111).
